Nashville Tours in 2024: From a Local!

Must Do Nashville Tours of 2024

Nashville, Tennessee has blown up over the past few years!  And each day there are more and more Nashville Tours that you must do.

As a Nashville local, I have done several of these tours!  And I’m here to show you what’s worth it, and why!  I must tell you that these links are affiliate links for me, meaning I get a small percentage of your purchase (at no extra cost to you!) so I do appreciate your support should you choose any of these options.

This list is not all-inclusive by any means, but if you have a few days in Nashville and want to do more than just drink downtown (no judgment if that is all you want to do!) here are a few Nashville tours that I would suggest for you!

Let’s start with what Nashville is famous for.

Music!

Country Music Hall of Fame

The Country Music Hall of Fame is something that everyone should do.  Even if you aren’t a huge country music fan, the history and interactive exhibits are pretty cool.  Plus, the gold record wall is a beautiful sight!  You can book this must-do Nashville Tour here.

Grand Ole Opry

Next up, is the Grand Ole Opry Tour.  This backstage tour of the Grand Ole Opry will show off Music City’s world-renowned stage in a way you haven’t seen before.  You can book your 1 hour backstage tour here.

The Ryman

And we have arrived at the Mother Church.  Originally built as a church, this place became the first home of the Grand Ole Opry in 1943 until the 1970’s.  Now it still stands as a world-class performance hall.

We are actually going to a concert at the Ryman in April, so I’ll follow up with an update!

You can book your Ryman tour here!

Now let’s check out the NEXT biggest thing on this Nashville tours list.

Drinks!

Walking Pub Tour (drinks not included)

If you are looking for a guide to downtown Nashville, then this is an affordable option for you!  At just $25, this Walking Pub Tour will lead you around the Downtown area for 2 – 2.5 hours.  And while drinks aren’t included, it’s a great way to get your bearings around the city.  Plus, you’ll get some exclusive drink deals!  You can book at this link for this affordable walking pub tour.

All-Inclusive Pub Crawl

Next we have another pub crawl, but this one is All-Inclusive!  This all-inclusive tour takes you to several pubs where you will get to drink craft beer, moonshine, and those tasty cocktails.  For $85, a tour guide will lead you around for 2 hours and you don’t have to worry about extra fees for drinks as you go!

While it is more expensive that the walking tour above, the drinks in downtown Nashville can get quite expensive.  So depending on how much you intend to drink, this might be a cost-saving option!  You can book this All-Inclusive Tour here

Jack Daniels Distillery Bus Tour

And finally, we have the oldest registered distillery at Jack Daniels Distillery.  Jack Daniels Distillery is actually much further away from Nashville than many people believe, but if your heart is set on this, you can easily book this bus tour.

This bus tour takes away the risk of getting lost, and provides round trip transportation down to Lynchburg, TN.  Plus, they allow for extra time in town, so you can grab some lunch is this famous little town.

I have done this tour twice and we quite enjoyed the whiskey tasting that comes with the guided tour of Jack Daniels.  You can book this tour here.

Next on this list of Nashville Tours comes something that everyone likes to try…or even something that you MUST experience to survive.

Food!

I know whenever I visit a new place, I like to try some good and local food that I can’t get anytime we want.

If you’re a bit of a foodie, you’ll want to check out these 2 tours!

Walking Food Tour (Food included)

This walking food tour not only includes lunch and 3 drinks, but it’s a great way to explore and taste the city of Nashville.  The guides will lead you to 4 different restaurants where you’ll get a taste of Nashville hot chicken, barbeque, and other southern dishes!  Plus a mini-walk around the city that will offer tips and bits of history you won’t want to miss!

You can book this walking food tour here!

Tastes of Nashville

This Tastes of Nashville Tour is a little more affordable, and it is less walking!  This tour takes you to several Food Must-Haves around the city while also driving by highlights around the city.  You’ll be transported by a van and treated to some of Nashville’s best food and drinks.  You can book this tour here!

So whether you are a foodie or not, these food tours will offer entertainment in addition to a tasty meal around the city!

Next on the list are a couple Nashville tours that focus on history.  Now, you might not enjoy history as much as me, but these tours were really interesting and offered pieces of information about how the city of Nashville even came to be!

History!

Belmont Mansion Tour

First up, we have the Belmont Mansion Tour.  This is the oldest antebellum house in the city and actually sits on Belmont University’s campus.

This tour is about an hour long and leads you all throughout the house.  The historian that guides you will be able to answer any questions you may have and is very knowledgeable about not just the house, but about the city as well!   You can book your tour here.

Belle Meade Tour (with Wine Tasting!)

Belle Meade was a popular horse farm in the 1800’s and the 45 minute tour will tell you all about how this family rose to fame through their horses.

While I found this tour contained the perfect amount of informative and concise, there is also a complimentary wine tasting that comes with this tour!  Sure, you can opt out, but just know, the wine is quite tasty!

You can book your Belle Meade Tour here!

Hermitage Tour

And the final history tour that I enjoyed was the tour of the Hermitage.  This was Andrew Jackson’s home and is one of the most toured-historic buildings in all of the United States.

You’ll get to tour the mansion and then can continue on and walk the stunning grounds that were once owned by our 7th president.  You can even see the quarters where slaves lived at the time, which was quite the humbling experience.

You can book your Hermitage tour here.

Walking Tours!

And finally, I have a couple walking tours picked out that you might enjoy!  Get some exercise while you take these Nashville Tours!

Sightseeing Walking Tour

First up is a guided sightseeing tour!  This tour will lead you all over downtown Nashville, following in the footsteps of famous musicians.  Plus, your guide will be able to offer you many pieces of advice to improve your Nashville visit.

You will be walking for about 2 hours, so put on a pair of comfortable walking shoes and let’s explore Nashville.  You can book this tour here!

Haunted Walking Tour

This final Nashville tour is called the Ghosts of Nashville Tour, and your guide will take you back in time while walking around Tennessee’s state capital.  From haunted bars to haunted churches, this after-dark tour will leave you feeling eerie as you explore Nashville!

I love doing a good ghost tour whenever I’m visiting an old city.  It’s the perfect mix of history and creepy!  You can book your Ghost of Nashville Tour here.

Conclusion

Nashville is an incredible city, with a lot more to offer than just a bachelorette party location.  From a history hot spot, to a musician’s dream come true, Nashville has so many amazing tours to offer!

While I have not done all of the tours listed above, I do highly recommend starting with this list and picking a few that interest you!
